On The Road

Doris and I will be heading out to Massachusettes Thursday. We will be at a trade show taking classes from morning til night for 4 days. And of course we get to order more goodies for the store. We will be back Monday night. Sherie and Lola will be filling in during that time.

We will be taking classes with Tim Holtz, Cheryl Mezzetti, Melissa Frances, Prima instructors; Sahron Laakkonen & Denny Ruffner and Diane Shultz(Graphic 45) to name a few. It should be a technique packed weekend. We will share what we learn with you in new classes.

We need your help.

Hi everyone,

A friend of mine and fellow scrapbooker, Sacha Whelan's Mom is missing. There hasn't been word from her in over 10 days. We are praying for her safe return, but we need your help. Please send this link to everyone you know. The link can also be found on our Facebook page where you can just click and share.

New Class Added to Calendar

We added a new class to the calendar for Sunday March, 14 from 12:30 - 2:30 and Tuesday March 23 from 7-9pm. In this class you will create an adorable Easter Egg Basket and two cards. One of the cards uses the Stair Case Fold.

New In Store

We got in goodies from SEI and Cosmo Cricket. You can see the pictures on the left.

Doris and I went to the opening of the exhibit "Recording Memories; An Historic View", we are sponsoring in Northport. It was amazing to see all the different ways people recorded their memories, from journals to scrapbooks. They have documented the history of writing down memories starting with the ancient Greeks. I tried to take pictures, but since they were through glass I'm not sure they are too good. I'll try to get some together and post them for all to see soon.

Oops! I realized that I never posted the winner!

Congratulations Sarabeth, you were selected in our random drawing for leaving a comment on our post "What types of classes". Email us your address so we can send out your gift, Soulful Journey Stamps from the Tim Holtz Collection.

Late in posting

Sorry for posting late.  We vended at the Classy Crops Weekend Getaway Feb 21-23 and it took a week to get everything back in its place in the store.  During that weekend a shipment from Sassafras Lass came in.

We got the full lines of  Nerdy Bird and Apple Jack and the Collection Packs of Cherry Delicious.  These lines are so stinking cute.  Our teacher Yvonne P. grabbed them up and scrapped her new granddaughter.  The layouts came out so cute!

Not Just Scrap is excited to be Sponsoring the Exhibit "Recording  Memories; A Historic View" featuring over 150 years of scrapbooks, journals and photo albums at the Northport Historical Society and Museum  from March 7 through August 2010.The exhibit will be opening March 7 and will run through the end of August  in the Museum Main Gallery, 215 Main Street, Northport.  Tuesdays-Sundays, 1:00-4:30 p.m.  A donation of $3 per person is suggested.
